Dog Park Done Right – DROP IN PLAY (DIP)

Dog Parks are fundamentally a great idea. Our multi tasking lives are crazy enough in this plugged in world; even those who understand how necessary and wonderful dog|dog socialization is for the developing and mature* dog, a good dog park is hard to find (for the record, dog|dog socialization means dogs playing freely with dogs, not just seeing their own kind on a leash from across the street on strangling walks in the neighborhood or through the fence that separates them from actual contact] .

If there even is a dog park in your community, often either the layout is not conducive to good play or more commonly, “idiot head people” populate it with their ill mannered and poorly socialized bully or bullied dogs. Usually dogs off their own home turf are rarely aggressive. If they are, as always, it’s likely they never developed social skills because of social isolation from dogs who could teach them the skill set they need to develop fluency in calming signals. Or they were actively trained to be aggressive but that’s another story. Even rescued pit fighting dogs, with proper handling and socialization, can at the very least develop into Intimate Dinner Party Dogs!

Hence, NEW AT A BETTER PET, we are offering Drop in Play (DIP). Available in single sessions or punch card packages. There will be up to FOUR 2 hour options per week, on a rotating basis to accommodate disparate schedules and year round. Make great new puppy or new dog gifts for your holiday lists.
