Description
A Martingale collar consists of two connected loops. A larger loop slips over the dog’s head and rests loosely around his neck, connecting to the separate, smaller loop where you clip the leash. When your dog pulls on the leash, the small loop becomes taut, making the large loop smaller until it fits snugly around your dog’s neck, preventing escape with causing choking, gagging, or pain.
Unlike a choke or slip collar, the Martingale collar won’t get tighter and more painful the more the dog pulls, so instead of choking, your dog will stay calm, comfortable and attentive to leash training. New dog owners appreciate the fact that if they inadvertently pull or jerk on their dog’s leash. their actions won’t pull on their dog’s neck or constrict his airway.
