The Shrooms, now over 16 weeks old, are entering into early adolescence. A time of additional growth, coordination, endurance, confidence, new experiences and opportunities to practice established basic manners. Pinto’s ten puppies, all originally named after Mushrooms and known affectionately as The Shrooms, are from a repeat breeding between Mama Pinto, a 45 lb Springerdoodle (English Springer Spaniel/Standard Poodle mix) and Papa Tito, an 85 lb Sheepadoodle (Old English Sheepdog/Standard Poodle mix). Their first litter, The Bready Bunch (all named after bread), have all excelled and turned 1 on August 2. Older brother Nickel, who is my dog, is an excellent role model for his younger siblings.
We’ve moved into the new school year and decreasing sunlight is becoming more and more noticeable. I am now focused on pairing these two puppies with partners seeking a most excellent make and model puppy for service, therapy or facility dog jobs.
Beech and Truffle continue to exceed my expectations. They are a pleasure to live with and are doing very well in early training for manners and varied weekly public access outings each befitting of service dog puppy training. These have, to date, included a 2 story Target, Whole Foods, Various Local Outdoor and Indoor Shopping Centers, Medical buildings, attending a dental appointment, exercise session, yoga studio, socializing and getting loved on at a block party and constant social interactions practicing calm manners. Both pups are well behaved, calm and enjoy car rides. Truffle and Beech are in move in condition and ready to go now with a full service dog training contract. Included in that for both pups for no additional price are spots  in our upcoming live online service dog course and/or private training
Check out more info on each puppy below!

Truffle is an intelligent, inquisitive, outgoing, confident and loving dog who has picked up her basic manners easily. I have decided to keep her until the correct partner arrives to start her as a service dog with a 6 month contract. Updates are posted regularly on our Facebook and Instagram as she progresses in basic manners including excellent leash manners, a growing roster of public access successes and what I identify as her strongest attributes for service. I believe she would be an excellent psychiatric service dog and/or medical alert dog for an older teen or adult. She is very social, calm, loving, attentive, aware and loves to work. She is cuddly, responsive and aware. She is cottony soft and non shedding and I estimate her adult weight will be 60-65 pounds. Her adorableness will be sure to garner her attention so social connecting is another no brainer skill this lovely pup possesses. She is available now for consideration and would be ready for placement by end of September. She is up to date on all immunizations, rabies and is on monthly flea/tick and heartworm meds.

Beech is a mini me of her mother, Pinto. Sweet, mellow, loving, balanced and just a very easygoing puppy, Beech loves people and other dogs. She is also friendly with my cats. She  walks nicely on a leash and is mastering her basic manners quickly and has also excelled in early public access outings. She’s cuddly and inquisitive without being over bearing and is never pushy. I believe she would be well suited as a therapy, service, or companion dog for the right partner and is in what I refer to as move in condition. I anticipate she will be about 45-50 pounds full grown.  She can be purchased as a pet, therapy or service dog prospect and combining it with training from A Better Pet is strongly recommended. She is up to date on all puppyhood immunizations and rabies and is on monthly flea/tick and heart worm meds.

Previously Paired Shroom Puppies

Early reports from those who have adopted their brothers and sisters are overwhelmingly positive.
“Exceeding expectations” has been a common description shared with me.

I spent a lot of time and energy making sure all of these puppies’ early months were spectacular, and the results show that it has been well worth the effort. From early neurolological stimulation to supervised, frequent socialization with known healthy dogs, these puppies are well suited for their futures. Well rounded and stable, they can adapt to a variety of settings.
